guest_gg1: JMS only told me he'd let me know when I did "it" wrong...
guest_gg1: I guess I did ok, huh?

jade_sheridan asks: which did you enjoy more? Being Kosh or working in production?
guest_gg1: For the sake of mankind, not's not let me act again! I'm much better at being a behind-the-scenes guy...
guest_gg1: I think y'all will appreciate the work more too!

jrgreenmd asks: Can you describe how your costume worked?
guest_gg1: The helmet and collar were made of Fiberglass...
guest_gg1: It was all mounted on a backpack...
guest_gg1: the electronics hung off the back...
guest_gg1: It weighed about 30-40 pounds...
guest_gg1: I couldn't see or hear and spent most of the time smelling myself -yech!...
guest_gg1: I learned that fiberglass is NOT one of those "breathable" materials.

sthrnstar2000 asks: If you were offered a chance to portray Kosh again, would you do it?
guest_gg1: H*LL yes!!

chuck82_69 asks: did you have anything to do with the bab5 spin off?
guest_gg1: I was Producer's Associate for the first three (I think) episodes of Crusade...
guest_gg1: It sure would have been nice to have made a long run with that show, but TV is a tuff business.

cheeky_elf asks: what was the funniest moment on set?
guest_gg1: Perhaps the funniest for me was the first day I set foot on the B5 stage and saw those aliens for the first time...
guest_gg1: That's pretty strange...
guest_gg1: I also tell a story at cons about when the crew put ...
guest_gg1: toilet paper all over me whilst I was in costume and unable to defend myself!

Lyta2000 asks: Jeff, so... what have you & Pat been up to, beside the usual married life?
guest_gg1: Well, we just celebrated our first anniversary (romantically on the beach)...
guest_gg1: Pat heads up to San Francisco next week to do some voice-over ADR for the "Never Die Twice" movie she did with Claudia...
guest_gg1: and I'm currently producing a new series called "The MOST" for the History Channel.

gg_webmaster_red asks: Can you tell us about your interview with Buzz Aldrin?
guest_gg1: Thanks, Red! Buzz is an amazing man and it was an honor to meet him...
guest_gg1: He and his wife, Lois, are very gracious, sweet people. The interview can be seen on "The MOST" on October 6th (History Channel)

cathyfm asks: Were you a fan of science fiction before B5?
guest_gg1: I think I first got hooked with "The Illustrated Man" by Bradbury when I was about 9-10 yrs. old.
guest_gg1: I'm not a big reader...
guest_gg1: But always was into sci-fi TV.

zelgadiss asks: Do you ever wish that you had more action scenes as Kosh?
guest_gg1: I do think that JMS should have left the "Kosh goes to the disco" scene in "In The Beginning"...
guest_gg1: What I really want is my own series...
guest_gg1: Maybe "Third Kosh from the Sun"? or "Everybody Loves Kosh"??
moderator_gg1: I'll go post one!

cheeky_elf asks: what was the best part of working on the show?
guest_gg1: No doubt...
guest_gg1: The best part of B5...
guest_gg1: for me was...
guest_gg1: Meeting Patricia Tallman...
guest_gg1: I made great friends on that show that will be with me to the end...

Tue Sep 12 19:44:51 2000
guest_gg1: and it was the best cast/crew I've had the pleasure of working with...
guest_gg1: It all was a "best" part, really.

Kimberly_Herbert asks: What was your favorite part of being Kosh
guest_gg1: Well...???...
guest_gg1: hummm???
guest_gg1: perhaps....
guest_gg1: maybe....
guest_gg1: or...
guest_gg1: but....
guest_gg1: if....
guest_gg1: why...
guest_gg1: being enigmatic.
moderator_gg1: Jeffrey, what do you think of B5 going to SCIFI?
guest_gg1: The move to SF Channel is fantastic...
guest_gg1: This is finally going to let both coasts see the show in Prime Time, as it was meant to...
guest_gg1: in order...
guest_gg1: in letterbox...
guest_gg1: on a network that totally gets it....
guest_gg1: I am most excited that the fans will get what they deserve, and have always asked for
guest_gg1: can finally be told the way it was intended...
guest_gg1: More over, I'm thrilled that a "new" audience might get to know..
guest_gg1: B5 for all it has to offer.

davros42 asks: Will there be more Babylon Park?
guest_gg1: Absolutely!
guest_gg1: We're just starting
guest_gg1: to get into developing the script for the next one
guest_gg1: It very likely will include some spoofing of "Farscape"...
guest_gg1: and more...
guest_gg1: Each episode of BPark gets better.
guest_gg1: the next one will really rock!

helorat asks: How did GG come about?
guest_gg1: How many of you recall thestation.com? (raise your hands)
guest_gg1: We had quite a nice cybercommunity at that site and offered
guest_gg1: visitors direct contact with the cast and crew.
guest_gg1: The Galactic Gateway is my attempt to rekindle that spirit
guest_gg1: and bring the fans back in touch with the folks that brought you B5.
guest_gg1: So far, we've got the cast members there, and I hope to add more interactive material from the crew
guest_gg1: We've got chats, games, posts, audio, video, stories, collectibles...
guest_gg1: so much more and we're growing all the time.
guest_gg1: In the next few days we'll be adding the latest members
guest_gg1: to our happy little cyber community

jrgreenmd asks: How did your "Racing School" book come about?
guest_gg1: My "checkered past" includes a period of my auto racing career where I worked with racing schools and was a racing instructor

guest_gg1: that wanted to start or try racing.

guest_gg1: I was in the silly suit from season two on
guest_gg1: When we did the two kosh scene in "ITB"

guest_gg1: (bad kosh, diet kosh)
guest_gg1: (good kosh, classic kosh)

cheeky_elf asks: How would you have changed Kosh's story line if you had the chance?
guest_gg1: Probably would have had a lot more sex scenes with Lyta - for one...
guest_gg1: Probably would have had a lot more sex scenes with Lyta - for two...
guest_gg1: and probably would have jumped Sheridans bones...
guest_gg1: well, maybe not. He does have a purtty mouth, though?

Maechtige asks: Did you play any other roles besides Kosh on B5?
guest_gg1: Heck yeah! I've been about every alien and human on the plywood space station.
guest_gg1: If you spend the next few months watching B5 on the Sci-Fi Channel...
guest_gg1: I dare y'all to try and pick me out of the background
guest_gg1: and then post a message -call it a "celebrity sighting" to me on
guest_gg1: www.galacticgateway.com
guest_gg1: Think of it as a
guest_gg1: "FIND WALDO"
guest_gg1: adventure

yoda_gouda asks: What makes the B5 actors/actress's so much more fan friendly than those on *other* shows?
guest_gg1: In-breeding
guest_gg1: and drugs
guest_gg1: or is that we all laugh hysterically each time we think about how little our paychecks were compared to those "other shows"?
guest_gg1: Maybe it's the heat
guest_gg1: I think we just all had a great time
guest_gg1: It was a positive experience
guest_gg1: that we'll all cherish
guest_gg1: and that fun comes through when we talk to y'all.

guest_gg1: quality programming for people - like you - that appreciate the effort.

Tue Sep 12 20:15:15 2000
guest_gg1: My work needs to have value, other than filling the space between commercials.
