Claudia Christian











A versatile actor and performer, Claudia Christian made one of her most memorable performances in her feature film acting debut in the cult classic "The Hidden" where she played a stripper with a male alien trapped inside her body. With a host of diverse film credit, Christian continues to have a successful long-standing career as an actor. Currently she is starring opposite Steven Seagal in "Half Past Dead" which will be released in over 2500 theatres nationwide this Nov. This past summer, saw Claudia as the lead role of Helga Sinclair in Disney's animated  release of "Atlantis", also starring Michael J. Fox and James Garner.
Other memorable films among Christian's work include her role as Iris in Warner Brothers critically acclaimed feature "Clean and Sober" starring Michael Keaton and Morgan Freeman, the leading role as Hexina in Columbia's comedy "Hexed," opposite Charlie Sheen in 20th Century Fox's "The Chase" and as a lesbian photographer in the quirky feature "Never On Tuesday," among others. She has also starred in two HBO features, "Running Home" and "Substitute 3," co-starring Treat Williams.


Currently hitting the film festival circuit and receiving critical acclaim and numerous awards, Christian portrays the lead as an overweight Jewish housewife in the indie film "True Rights." Additionally, Claudia recently sold her first screenplay, "White Buffalo," which will begin production in the fall of 2002. This film will be her directorial debut.


In addition to her film credits, Christian's work in television is also extensive and includes the lead role as the bisexual Commander Susan Ivanova in the Warner Bros. syndicated internationally recognized top cult television series "Babylon 5" (aired 1994-1997). She has also starred in two TNT produced telefilms based upon the series. "Babylon 5" has developed an enormous European following and has twice won the Hugo award for best science fiction television series. Christian received Sci-Fi Awards and Universe Awards best actress nominations for her role in the series. In 1998, SFX named Claudia "Sexiest Woman in Sci-Fi."


Other television credits include numerous movies of the week such as: the starring role in the 1998 USA Network's "A Wing and a Prayer," Faye Dunaway's daughter in ABC's 1993 "Colombo," starring roles in Danielle Steel's 1990 "Kaleidoscope," NBC's 1986 "A Masterpiece of Murder" opposite Bob Hope and Don Ameche, and with Sharon Stone in ABC's 1984 "The Calendar Girl Murder's, among many others. Claudia has also had various series regular roles on television programs such as "Freaks and Geeks," "Berrenger's" and "Police Story," as well as guest starring roles on "Family Law," "NYPD Blue" and "Highlander," just to name a few.
Christian typifies the true Renaissance woman as she likes to explore many interesting areas. She wrote both lyrics and music for her first CD "Taboo" which she co-produced with Michael Jay (Celine Dion). She also has produced and sang on two additional albums, "Claudia Squared" and the jazz & blues album, "Trying to Forget." Her long awaited fourth CD "Once Upon a Time" has her working again with the extremely talented musician and her Babylon 5 co-star Bill Mumy and recent winners of the John Lennon Song writing award, Share and Bam Ross. Always expanding her musical horizons, Claudia recently went to Scotland last summer and recorded the album for the first ever Sci-Fi Musical "Area 51."


Christian also stars on the Internet series "Love Bytes," (which just got picked up by ilive.com) a sitcom about a dating service that actually gets viewers dates. Also an author, Claudia has written a series of children's books entitled "The Misadventures of Miss Emma Bradford." Her voice can be heard in numerous animated television series such as "Wild Thornberry's" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider." Currently, her voice can be heard as the character "DeWinter"   in Westwood Studio's live-action internet on line game entitled "Earth and Beyond" and her voice can also be heard in "The Summoner2" for playstation. She also recently narrated the five part mini series for VH1 titled "below the waist: men, women and music" .


In her rare spare time, Claudia enjoys listening to opera, painting, playing her piano, collecting antiques and hosting marvelous dinner parties. Multilingual, she speaks Italian and French and is learning German. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
